If you love yoghurt, here are three great ways to eat more of it.

1. Make icing

Icing that’s as creamy and delicious as the real thing, but better for you? Um, yes please. Woolies’ double cream coconut and lime flavoured yoghurt is a refreshing alternative for icing vanilla sponge cake – just swirl and spread and sprinkle with shaved coconut for extra crunch and flavour. (Cook’s tip: works a treat on cup cakes too.)

2. Make salad dressing

Cooling, creamy and zero effort required… spread a dollop of Woolies’ double cream plain yoghurt onto a large plate. Add cooked tender beetroot, spoon over fresh basil pesto and sprinkle with toasted pumpkin seeds and micro herbs. Boom! The prettiest side dish made simple.

3. Make mash

Butter lovers, you’re going to have to trust us on this one. Simmer 5 halved large potatoes in milk with a clove of garlic until tender. Drain and reserve the milk. Mash the potatoes until smooth with some of the reserved milk and garlic. Add 3 T Woolies’ double cream plain yoghurt , season and stir. You’re welcome.

If you’re not already in love with Woolies’ yoghurt, you should be. Thick, creamy and mild, it contains live bifidobacterium cultures, which contribute to a healthy digestive system, and is made without any added preservatives. Oh, and it now contains reduced sugar and 16% more fruit. What’s more, Woolies’ yoghurts are on now on promotion – check out this week’s Daily Difference deals.
