1. Classic miso soup
While this may be a classic, you can change it up in exciting ways. Use it as a base for ramen instead of broth or add various toppings to enhance the flavour. Think Tenderstem broccoli, jammy eggs, sesame seeds, sesame oil, nori sheets or chilli crisps.
2. Miso-glazed chicken
Tender roast chicken packed with flavour: this will soon be your go-to Sunday roast recipe. Add Mediterranean potatoes or cubed butternut to the roasting pan when making it for a yummy side, or serve it with mash or udon noodles for a twist on the classic Sunday lunch.
3. Miso cheeseburgers
Take your cheeseburgers to new heights by adding this spicy, cheesy miso sauce.
4. Miso-roasted brinjals
This could be served as a tasty side; or you could turn it to a vegan main meal by adding noodles or sticky rice.
5. Miso eggs Benedict
In this remix of the classic breakfast dish, miso is added to the Hollandaise sauce. We used ham for this recipe, but you can use your eggs Benedict favourite toppings.
6. Miso Napoletana pasta
Here’s a two-for-one special. Try making the miso Napoletana pasta and, if you love the sauce, you can make it into an intense tomato soup. Simply add 1 cup vegetable stock and blend to your desired consistency. As always, serve the soup with the mandatory toasted cheese sandwich.
7. Miso-and-fudge tart
Yes, miso also works in desserts! This tart has an oat crust that perfectly complements the caramel fudge filling.
