From Portobello in the Franschhoek Valley, Angelot has a red brown rind with a smooth, straw coloured inner. 

It has a savoury flavour that is fairly strong and rustic aroma.

It's excellent as a dessert cheese with crackers and sliced fruit, or use it as you would brie or camembert.
