Ingredients: large free-range eggs 3,almond essence 1t,ground cinnamon 1t,vegetable 4T,panettone, thickly sliced 1,streaky bacon 300g,cream, whipped 1cup,Maraschino cherries 50g,maple syrup 4T,icing sugar, for dusting

Ingredients

1 - 2 t 1–2 t simple syrup
2 dashes Angostura® Aromatic Bitters
ice, for serving
orange peel
60 ml rye whiskey or bourbon
maraschino cherry, for serving (optional)

Method

1. Place the sugar syrup and bitters in an old-fashioned (or lowball) glass and stir.
2. Top up halfway with ice. Twist a piece of orange peel above the glass to release some of the oils into the glass, then place the peel in the glass.
3. Add more ice, followed by the whiskey or bourbon. Stir until chilled. Top with a splash of soda water if you prefer and garnish with the maraschino cherry if using.
