1. Place the oats in a large bowl, cover with water and soak for 30 minutes.
2. Discard the water and gently rinse the oats, then transfer to a blender and add 3 cups water, the maple syrup, vanilla and salt.
3. Blend at a high speed for 30 seconds, then strain through muslin cloth. Discard the pulp and chill the milk before serving.
