Our secret to making winter roasts in under 60 minutes

Beef short ribs in 30 minutes? Ostrich tenderloin roast under an 1 hour? It’s not impossible! Woolworths Easy Meal Roasts are the time saving secret to enjoy our favourite comfort meals in a flash.

You don’t need a private chef (or a public holiday) to enjoy a roast dinner or slow-braised stew on a weeknight. With Woolworths’ Easy Roasts range, midweek feasts are a real possibility. Roast mushroom-and-herb-stuffed ostrich tenderloin? Just 50 minutes in the air-fryer. How about slow-cooked beef short rib on the bone, glazed in soy, ginger and cardamom sauce? 30 minutes. Developed to be fast, easy and totally delicious, these meals are designated crowd-pleasers, no effort required.

Ostrich tenderloin roast

Season 700 g Woolworths ostrich tenderloin roast and place on a roasting tray. Roast for 40 minutes at 160°C. Toss 200 g peeled carrots and 1 quartered baby cabbage in a little butter and oil and roast at 180°C for 15–20 minutes. Sauté 250 g mushrooms and a sprig of thyme in a little butter until golden brown. Add 1 cup cream and season to taste. Simmer until the sauce has reduced and serve with the ostrich and vegetables.

Asian-style beef  short rib

Roast Woolworths Asian-style beef short rib according to package instructions. Blanch 200 g pak choi and 200 g Tenderstem broccoli. Serve the short ribs with 500 g cooked fresh egg noodles, garnished with chopped fresh coriander, 2 sliced spring onions and the blanched pak choi and broccoli.
