  • 4 large green apples
  • Dates
  • Brandy snap biscuits
  • Muscavado sugar
  • Butter
  • Sweet sugar syrup
  • cream

Cooking Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Core large green apples and, all the way around, slice a slit through the skin of each. Stuff the cavities with torn dates, crushed brandy snap biscuits and muscavado sugar.
Top with a knob of butter and arrange on a baking tray.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until sticky and oozing with sweet sugar syrup.
Serve immediately with big dollops of cream or thick home-made custard.
