Ingredients

Method
  • 100 g black sesame seeds, lightly toasted
  • 3 T sugar
  • 1 x 385 g can condensed milk
  • 3 cups cream, whipped
  1. Place the sesame seeds and sugar into a food processor or blender and blitz until they resemble a rough paste.
  2. Add the condensed milk, then fold in the cream.
  3. Spoon into an ice-cream machine and churn until smooth and frozen.

    My goodness, was this delicious! The sesame flavour is so unusual, yet works so well. Reminded me a bit of halva. Anyway, I couldn’t find black sesame seeds so I used white ones instead. It still tasted amazing… even if the colour wasn’t quite so interesting.

    I don’t have an ice cream maker, but have found in the past that the whipped cream recipes don’t REALLY need constant churning. While it was freezing, I took it out once or twice for a quick stir and that seemed to be enough.

    Will definitely make again :)
