"These biscuits are so good to graze on with some creamy cheese, fruit and preserves. They’re also an awesome lunchbox filler. Make them ahead and store in an airtight container to keep them crunchy and fresh." – Khanya Mzongwana

Ingredients

  • 200 g cake flour
  • 100 g butter, softened
  • 100 g Cheddar, grated
  • 1 t chilli flakes
  • 1 t fresh thyme
  • 1 t garlic flakes
  • 1 t dried curry leaves, crushed
  • sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Cooking Instructions

1. Knead all the ingredients together until a dough forms. Wrap in clingfilm and chill for 1 hour.

2. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Cut dough into shapes and place on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until light golden brown. Allow to cool before serving.
