- 4 calamari steaks
- 3 cloves garlic, sliced
- 1 red chilli, chopped
- juice of 2 limes
- sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

Score one side of the calamari steaks in a crisscross pattern. Slice thinly.
Toss together the calamari, garlic, chilli and lime juice. Season well.
Place in the steamer and steam for 5 minutes, until just tender. Don’t steam it for too long as it may become tough and chewy.
Per serving: 327.8kJ, 15.4g protein, 0.9g fat, 1.7g carbs
TASTE’s take:
Eat this dish with brown rice and toss in a few roasted cashew nuts and steamed mangetout. Rings or baby tubes of calamari work just as well.
