  • A selection of citrus fruit (e.g. Oranges, satsumas, naartjies, grapefruit)
  • Methode Cap Classique or sparkling wine
  • Fresh lemon juice

Cooking Instructions

Juice the citrus fruit.
Mix and add a dash of fresh lemon juice and chill.
Half-fill Champagne glasses with the juice and top with your favourite MCC or sparkling wine.
Serve immediately.
Andy Fenner of Jamie Who? fame created this drink when he cooked for SA's Mistress of Spices, Vanie Padayachee. Along with the citrus mimosa he served Earl Grey couscous with almonds, mint and spicy compote and poached eggs on Greek yoghurt with saffron and paprika burnt butter and pitas.
