Ingredients

  • 400 g roll Woolworths frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 T butter
  • 70 g brown sugar
  • 1 t ground cinnamon
  • a pinch salt
  • 3 Flavourburst™ Envy™ apples, peeled, cored and diced
  • 1 free-range egg, beaten
  • 60 g icing sugar
  • 1 T water
  • 1 t vanilla extract

1. Cut the pastry into 8 squares, then refrigerate until ready to use.

2. Heat the butter in a pan over a medium heat. Add the sugar, cinnamon, salt and apples and cook until soft and caramelised.

3. Place a heaped spoonful of apple in the bottom corner of each pastry square and fold over the pastry to form a triangle. Crimp the edges using a fork and brush with the beaten egg. Place in the air fryer and bake at 180ºC for 10 minutes.

4. Mix the icing sugar, water and vanilla and drizzle over the apple turnovers just before serving.
