- 200g per person rump steak (Woolies vacuum packed matured cuts)
- 200g jar Bovril
Cover the steaks with generous amounts of Bovril and set aside to marinade (5- 10 min)
Prepare hot coals for your braai.The coals must be hot so that your steaks will grill nicely and still be juicy on the inside.
You do not have to add any spices because the bovril gives a lovely beefy chargrilled flavour to the steaks. You can baste it with a marinade if you like.
Very important .Do not burn the bovril because it will taste bitter. It just have to start bubbling on the steaks. Turn the steaks after 5 min and also turn the steak fat side onto the grill to get it nice and crunchy. Enjoy with jacket potatoes in the fire and sour cream .Creamed spinach is the best veg for this meal . ;-)
