Ingredients

  • 115 g butter, softened
  • 170 g honey
  • 1 free-range egg
  • 60 g cake flour
  • 1⁄2 t salt
  • 1⁄2 t ground cinnamon
  • 30 g oats
  • 25 g All-Bran Flakes
  • 40 g dessicated coconut
  • 40 g flaked almonds
  • 60 g dried fruit, finely chopped

Cooking Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Beat the butter, honey and egg until creamy. Set aside.

Sift the flour, salt and cinnamon together. Add the oats, All-Bran, coconut, almonds and dried fruit to the our mix.

Add the creamed butter, honey and egg and mix well.

Line a 20 x 30 baking tray with baking paper and spread the mixture evenly, around 1cm thick. Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden. Cool for 10 minutes before cutting into squares.

Cook's note: These soft tray-bake breakfast slices (as opposed to a crunchy granola-style bar) is a great option for little lunch boxes.
