Ingredients

  • 2 cups Dahi (sour milk or yoghurt)
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 T condensed milk
  • 1 T sugar
  • 1 1/2 T cumin seeds, roasted and crushed
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • Ground cumin, to garnish
  • Coloured sugar crystals, to garnish

Cooking Instructions

1. Blend all the ingredients, except the ice cubes, for 5 minutes.

2. Pour into tall glasses, add the ice cubes, garnish with a pinch of cumin powder and a sprinkling of sugar crystals

Cooks note: To make a salt lassi, replace the condensed milk and sugar with 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and garnish with a sprig of mint instead of the sugar crystals
