"This may look like a simple snack platter – but its function goes beyond just eating. This is a sensory plate, a concept that is really helpful in bringing you to the present moment and getting you to zone in and use all your senses. It is one of my many solutions for anxiety, which I know we all experience one way or another. The idea is to gather as many different textures, taste profiles and smells, and focus on the different sensations you’re experiencing. Try to get as many of your favourite things on this plate, there are no limits. This is a brilliant way to remove your focus from your anxiety and become more attuned with your senses. This is a really sweet gesture for a loved one, and it’s even better eaten outside!" – Khanya Mzongwana
