The cost for the 4 main ingredients, sauce, pasta, tahini and brinjals, comes to a total of R422,95 as based on prices shown on the Woolworths shopping webpages, or R105, 74 per person if it serves 4. The 2 jars of sauces alone are more than the cost of sauce alone (R259.98) is more than the cost of 3 whole chickens. This excludes the spices and cost of power to prepare it. Rather expensive for such a meal, in my humble opinion.
