Take your sardines-on-toast game to the next level with this easy, spiced-up recipe. Add even more heat with pickled jalapeños or a sprinkle of chilli crisp.


  • 100 g Woolworths exotic tomatoes  
  • sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste 
  • 1 T tomato sauce 
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise  
  • a dash of Tabasco sauce 
  • 2 cans Woolworths brisling sardines 
  • 4 slices gluten-free bread, toasted 
  • Olive oil, to drizzle 
  • microleaves, to garnish 

Cooking Instructions

1. Slice the tomatoes and season with salt and pepper.

2. Mix the tomato sauce, mayonnaise and Tabasco. Spread onto each piece of toast and top with the sliced tomatoes and sardines. Garnish with microleaves and drizzle with olive oil.
