Did you know that every inch of Tenderstem®️ broccoli is edible? Char over hot coals to make a braai salad that rivals your mains. Complete the salad with cooked pasta, juicy tomatoes, creamy bocconcini and a zingy pesto to bring everything together. If all braai salads looked this good, we wouldn't even bother with the steaks and chops.


  • 2 x 230 g packs Woolworths Tenderstem broccoli
  • 2 T olive oil
  • sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • ½ x 500 g packet Woolworths fusilli pasta, cooked
  • 200 g mini Rosa or cherry tomatoes
  • 150 g bocconcini
  • ½ cup basil pesto
  • 50 g pumpkin seeds, toasted
  • handful fresh basil

Cooking Instructions

1. Drizzle the broccoli with olive oil and season to taste.

2. Braai over medium to low coals for 5 minutes, or until lightly charred.

3. Mix the pasta, tomatoes and bocconcini and spoon onto a platter.

4. Top with the broccoli, then drizzle over the pesto and toss to coat.

5. Scatter with pumpkin seeds and fresh basil and serve.
