Ingredients

  • 1 400G PUFF PASTRY
  • 1 BOX WOOLWORTHS EXOTIC MIX TOMATOES
  • 1 CUP FETA CHEESE
  • 1/4 CUP OLIVE OIL
  • 2 TBSP CRUSHED GARLIC
  • 1 TSP ROSEMARY
  • 1 EGG
  • 2 TBSP FLAKED ALMONDS
  • BASIL LEAVES

Cooking Instructions

Crostata is the Italian version of a galette.
Chalokaawa - Exotic Tomato Crostata

Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Wash and slice tomatoes. Place on rack with holes. Sprinkle with salt and leave for ten minutes. Pat dry Warm olive oil and garlic together in a pan. Add rosemary and allow to cool. Open out puff pastry. Brush middle of pastry with garlic and rosemary oil. Sprinkle with feta cheese. Place sliced tomatoes on top of cheese. Season with black pepper Tomato. Lightly beat egg and brush pastry edges. Sprinkle with flaked almonds. Sprinkle rosemary on edges. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes or until pastry is golden on color. Remove from oven. Garnish with basil leaves.
