Forget pink roses this Valentine’s Day, we’re falling for perfectly smoked salmon.

Whether you’re in the mood for summer entertaining, or thinking of Valentine’s Day, you can’t go wrong with Woolies’ new oak-smoked salmon slices. The smoked loin sashimi cut is cured in salt and brown sugar and gently smoked. Also look out for the oak-smoked salmon slices cured in salt, beetroot, orange and brown sugar. Serve them on wholewheat bread or Melba toast with crème fraîche, and you’ve got all the makings of an instant showstopper.

Serving suggestion: Serve the smoked salmon loin and beetroot-cured salmon slices with cream cheese, sliced radish, strawberries, edible flowers and a glass of rosé MCC.
