Situated on the suburban edge of Cape Town and just 30 minutes from the city centre, the Durbanville Wine Valley oozes warm hospitality, rich flavours, magnificent views and, of course, exceptional wines. Get (just) out of town and head to the Durbanville Wine Valley for an engaging, festive experience.

Visit any of the 10 farms that make up the Durbanville Wine Valley and expect to be welcomed with warm hospitality and outstanding experiences. The area, a mere 30 minutes from the Cape Town city centre, is best known for the exceptional production of Sauvignon Blancs. Their red wines and MCCs are also world-class products.

From the height of the lush Durbanville Hills, expect uninterrupted views of Cape Town and the Atlantic Seaboard. Each boutique wine farm features a restaurant or eatery, catering to every taste. Discover a range of cuisine, from fine dining at Diemersdal’s Eatery to rustic country fare at D’Aria wine estate.

The region’s historic wine farms date back to the 1600s: Groot Phesantekraal wine estate is one of the oldest wine farms in South Africa, established in 1698. Meerendal wine estate was established in 1714 and boasts the beautiful Crown restaurant. Plus, there’s much more to be explored and experienced at D’Aria, Diemersdal, De Grendel, Durbanville Hills, Hillcrest, Klein Roosboom, Nitida and Signal Gun.
