Trends in South African schools show more and more how technology is being integrated into teaching, with schools using iPads from as early as grade 4. Online tools are making the world of difference in aiding teachers and learners, particularly when it comes to maths. In this year’s International Maths Olympiad, South Africa ranked 58th out of 109 competing countries, with a Cape Town pupil from Westerford High School taking home a bronze medal.
