Winning winter drinks with Tanqueray

Thought gin was a summer drink? Think again. The crisp notes of juniper, orange, lime and coriander makes it the perfect match for some winter tipple – and Tanqueray is no exception.

More than 180 years ago, a man by the name of Charles Tanqueray was in search of the perfect gin. He set up a distillery in London in 1830 and, after years of experimenting and searching for the finest ingredients, Tanqueray London Dry Gin was born.

Since then, inspired by Charles’ spirit of innovation, the portfolio has grown to in clude Tanqueray N°10, Tanqueray Rangpur, Tanqueray Malacca, Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla and several other limited editions. With its rich heritage and superior quality, it’s no wonder that Tanqueray has won numerous prestigious awards, and remains a favourite of bartenders.

But don’t think this lovely spirit should be confined to a bright G&T on a summer afternoon. With its crisp notes of juniper, citrus and herbs, Tanqueray makes for the ideal winter drink, as in for example the classic Negroni.

Serving suggestion:
To make a classic Negroni – a strong drink which should be savoured slowly – combine 30 ml Tanqueary gin, 30 ml sweet vermouth and 30 ml Campari in a cocktail shaker. Pour into an ice-filled tumbler and garnish with an orange twist. Enjoy!
