4 Tips to eating better at the office (plus the 9 must-have ingredients in your desk drawer)
Bored of lunch al desko? Hit a daily mid-arvie slump? Spice up your day-to-day routine with these work lunch tips.
1. There is life beyond the daily sandwich
Stock up on Woolies’ individual portions of smoked trout, keep ripening avos in your drawer and bring your choice of salad leaves to work – hey presto! An easy, healthy lunch in minutes.
2. Turn one of your drawers into a pantry
Pro tip: make sure you hide the key from hungry colleagues!
- Sea salt
- Black pepper
- Olive oil
- Sriracha sauce
- Cans of tuna or sardines in tomato sauce
- Assorted mixed nuts
- Rice cakes or crackers
- A packet of napkins
- A rock-hard avo that needs ripening
3. Start a lunch club
Round up a few colleagues and share a couple of meals together a few times each week. Everyone brings their own ingredient – think delicious breads, cheeses, leaves, charcuterie and more – and let the feasting begin!
4. Love your leftovers
Make a big batch of Bolognese, quinoa or curry and bring the leftovers to work for lunch. They always taste better the next day.
I am using this comment as a forum open to anyone and everyone who knows of a few restaurants in the CBD Cape Town that make sandwiches, salads, burgers, wraps and/or other options that can deliver to advocates chambers in Keerom St cape town. I have run into a number of restaurants that do lunch but with attitude and now they will not get our support. I by word of mouth let other advocates know of good service and opportunities to get a nutritional and enjoyable lunch from anyone who can offer same and I will ensure my bosses support you loyally. Please can anyone respond who has telephone numbers of any restaurants responding to me.
thanks
