Quick dinner solutions
Woolworths has recently broadened its range of convenient freezer meals to include some delicious dishes. For those cool spring nights, look to the new beef meatballs in a tomato sauce and serve them with frozen readymade mashed potatoes. Talk about comfort!
And for burger night with a difference, why not try the new frozen trout burgers (minced trout with herbs, lemon juice and red onion) with crispy baked root veg fries? Dinner is sorted – no mess, no fuss, just delicious eating.
Trout burgers
Pan-fry the trout burger according to package instructions and toast a Woolworths ultimate burger bun until golden brown. Top with crème fraîche, crispy kale, cucumber ribbons, watercress, pickled red onion and sweet chilli sauce.Serve with a side of roasted root vegetable fries.
Easy entertaining
Whether it’s a snack, an easy Saturday lunch or last-minute entertaining (now that we’re allowed to see some family again), it’s always good to have a delicious stash of frozen goodies in the freezer – which is where Woolies’ frozen everyday snacking products come in.
New to the range are a mini puff pastry selection, lightly dusted chicken breast strips and scrumptious mini Wellingtons with trout. Best part? They can be cooked straight from the freezer. Could it be any more convenient? We think not!
Serving suggestion:
Cook the pies according to package instructions and serve with marinated sundried tomatoes, cream cheese mixed with basil pesto and fresh cucumber sticks for dipping.
