5 steak recipes that take the chore out of weeknight cooking

As versatile as chicken but without the fuss, steak pairs with almost any side, and takes little time to prep and cook. In short: steak is a midweek masterpiece.

Don’t break the cardinal rule: don’t over cook it!

Steak will continue to cook once you let it rest. Follow these timings for perfect results:
For a rare steak, cook for 2,5 minutes on either side.
For a medium-rare steak, cook for 3,5 minutes on either side.
If you prefer medium steak, cook for 4,5 minutes on either side.
And if you like it well done, try 5 minutes on either side.
