Braaied potato salad

15 minutesSmoky, braaied potatoes tossed with creamy goat’s cheese, crispy onions and fragrant herbs – this is no ordinary potato salad.

- 6 medium Woolworths Nicola potatoes, parboiled
- olive oil, for brushing
- 2 T fresh chives chopped
- 2 T fresh dill chopped
- ½ cup Woolworths crispy onion sprinkle
- 250 g crème fraiche
- sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- lemon zest, to taste (optional)
Method
Ingredients
1. Slice the potatoes into thick rounds or in half.
2. Brush with olive oil and grill on a hot griddle pan or braai until golden and charred on both sides.
3. Place the warm potatoes in a serving bowl. Add the chives, dill and onion sprinkle.
4. Gently toss in the crème fraiche. Season with salt, pepper and lemon zest if using.
5. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Cook’s note: Add a spoonful of good-quality mayonnaise or a splash of lemon juice for a creamier dressing if desired.
