How to dice peppers
Dicing peppers is easy once you break it down into these quick steps. Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to help you dice your peppers perfectly every time.
Method

Prepare the pepper
Rinse the pepper under cold water to clean it. Cut off the top and bottom of the pepper to create flat surfaces.
Remove the seeds and membrane
Stand the pepper up on one of its ends. Cut down along the side of the pepper. This will leave you with a long, flat strip of pepper. Remove the white membranes and seeds by cutting them out using your knife.
Cut into strips
Lay the pepper flat with the inside facing up. Slice it lengthways into strips, depending on how thick you want your dice.
Dice the strips
Gather the strips together, then slice across them to create small, even dice. Aim for a uniform size so they cook evenly. Keep slicing until all the strips are diced.
Chef’s tip: For larger dice, cut the strips thicker and slice them fewer times.
