A famous tomato sauce from Naples in Italy, Napoletana sauce is great over pasta with gratings of Parmesan.

Method

  1. Brown a large chopped onion and a couple of crushed garlic cloves in olive oil.

    Step 1

  2. Add a tin of chopped tomatoes (or use about 6 fresh tomatoes, blanched and skins removed) and cook until soft.

    Step 2

  3. Add a pinch of sugar, a bay leaf, salt and pepper and a tablespoon of tomato paste and allow to simmer until well combined – about 1 hour.

    Just quickly had a look at the site. Very user friendly and love the way you guys have displayed the dishes and then how easy it was to click on the picture look at the recipe. Definitely a big improvement.
