If you take sandwiches as seriously as we do, you'll want to make some space in your fridge. Woolies has added new deli meats to its extensive range. Imported from Italy, they can be enjoyed in lunchboxes, on charcuterie platters or mixed and matched on pizza bases. Here's what to expect in store and online:
Truffle salami coated with Parmigiano Reggiano
This salami is a luxurious blend of finely ground pork, flecks of Parmigiano Reggiano and a hint of black truffle. It’s rich, earthy and perfect for those who love bold, umami flavours. Slice thinly and serve on a cheeseboard, pair with soft Brie or add to creamy risottos for a gourmet touch.
Spicy salami coated with Parmigiano Reggiano
Made with chilli and paprika, this salami brings the heat while the Parmigiano Reggiano adds a nutty balance. It's ideal for those who like a little kick in their food. Try it chopped into your weekend breakfast scramble.
Milano salami coated with Parmigiano Reggiano
This northern Italian classic is made with finely minced pork, slowly cured for a smooth texture and delicate flavour. The addition of Parmigiano Reggiano gives it a subtle depth. Perfect on pizza or added to a substantial bean salad.
Coppa
Made from pork shoulder and cured with a blend of spices, coppa is a marbled cold cut with a tender texture and deep, savoury flavour. It’s bold without being overpowering. Serve it simply draped over warm bread or alongside cheese and olives for a classic antipasto.
Mortadella
A delicately spiced cold cut with a silky, airy texture, mortadella is made from finely ground pork and often includes cubes of fat for richness. It’s mellow and slightly sweet. Enjoy it the Italian way: layered in a fresh white roll with nothing but a smear of butter.
Prosciutto crudo

Pancetta
