Ostrich frikkadels with gochujang and yoghurt dip

Ingredients

Method
    For the frikkadels:

  • 500 g Woolworths extra-lean ostrich mince
  • 2 spring onions, finely sliced
  • 1 carrot, finely grated
  • ¼ t garlic powder
  • 2 T Woolworths Asian everything soya sauce
  • sea salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 T olive oil, for frying
  • For the dip:

  • 2 T Woolworths gochujang paste
  • 3 T Woolworths sticky plum baste and dip
  • 2 T Woolworths Asian everything soya sauce
  • 250 g Woolworths double-cream plain yoghurt
  • 1 red chilli, finely sliced

Method

Ingredients

1. In a large bowl, combine the mince with half the spring onions and the grated carrot, garlic powder and soy sauce. Season well with salt and pepper and mix until evenly incorporated. Shape the mixture into golf-ball-sized frikkadels.

2. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over a medium heat and fry the frikkadels in batches until golden brown and cooked through, turning occasionally.

3. Combine the gochujang paste, sticky plum baste and dip and soy sauce with the remaining spring onions.

4. Spoon the yoghurt onto a small serving plate and pour over the sauce. Sprinkle with thesliced red chilli and serve with the frikkadels.
