The best way to enjoy blood oranges when they’re not in season
Did you know that blood oranges are only available for a limited time only? If you love this citrus as much as we do, you’ll want to enjoy it all year round. Blood orange marmalade is the easiest and delicious way to preserve blood oranges to outlast the winter months.

Blood oranges are finally in season! This ruby-fleshed citrus is only available during the coldest winter months. Don't delay, purchase a box or tray of blood oranges and add them to breakfast bowls, cocktails, salads and desserts. They're just as versatile as other citrus, so don't be intimidated if you haven't had a chance to experiment with this fruit.
Other than their stand-out colour, blood oranges are slightly more tart than regular oranges, with lingering floral notes. Many people compare the taste to a cross between a raspberry and orange. Top tip: to get the most juice from a blood orange, chill it for a few minutes before squeezing.
To enjoy blood oranges beyond the coldest months, we've developed a blood orange marmalade that can be enjoyed with desserts, smeared on toast, or drizzled over pancakes and waffles. It's totally addictive, especially when served with a pillowy pavlova. Winter is best known for saucy puddings but if you want to try something different, turn summer favourite pavlova into a dessert that celebrates the best of winter: citrus.
