Shisanyama-style lamb riblets with onion dip

1. Place the riblets on a braai grid over medium coals.
2. Braai, turning and basting frequently, until golden and slightly charred.
3. To make the onion dip, sauté the onion in the oil until golden brown, about 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
4. Combine the caramelised onions with the sour cream, garlic, mustard, salt and pepper.
5. Serve the ribs with the dip.
