Ingredients
Method- 2 x 400 g packs Woolworths smoked Kassler chops
- 3 T olive oil, for cooking Honey-mustard marinade
- 4 T Woolworths mustard powder
- 2 T Woolworths seasonal honey
- 1 T Woolworths apple cider vinegar
- 2 T olive oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
- salt and black pepper, to taste Gochujang marinade
- 4 T Woolworths Asian gochujang paste
- 2 T Woolworths Asian roasted sesame oil
- 2 T Woolworths rice wine vinegar
- 2 T Woolworths Asian everything soya sauce
- 1 T brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, finely sliced
- 1 red chilli, finely chopped
- 1-5 cm piece fresh ginger, finely chopped (optional) Chipotle marinade
- 4 T Woolworths chipotle sauce
- 2 T olive oil
- 2 t Spanish smoked paprika
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- fresh red chilli, finely chopped
- Juice of 1 lemon
- salt and black pepper, to taste
Method
Ingredients1. Make the three marinades by mixing the ingredients together in three separate bowls large enough to accommodate 2–3 chops.
2. Depending on who would prefer which marinade, place 2–3 Kassler chops in each of the three bowls. Coat the chops with the marinade and let them marinate for 30 minutes.
3. Heat 1 T olive oil in a non-stick pan and cook the chops on either side for 5–8 minutes. Add more oil if needed. Alternatively, braai the chops over medium-hot coals for 4–7 minutes or until the marinades are slightly caramelised.
Serving suggestions
1. Serve the honey-mustard chops with 200 g each of shredded white and red cabbage, sauteéd with 2 T wholegrain mustard.
2. Serve the gochujang chops with 100 g blanched pak choi.
3. Serve the chipotle chops with 200 g roast baby potatoes.
