Braaied plant-based sausages

Even if you’re not following a plant-based diet, these sausages will warm the cockles of your heart. Stuff them into rolls with chakalaka for the perfect faux boerie roll.
Ingredients
Method- 2 packs Woolworths Beyond sausages
- 1 T olive oil
- 1/2 cup Woolworths BBQ sauce
- salt, to taste For the melting onions:
- 4 red onions, cut into thick rings
- 2 T olive oil
- 2 T butter
- 2 T red wine vinegar
- sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste For the dressing, blend:
- 6 sundried tomatoes
- 2 T olive oil
- 2 T Woolworths white balsamic condiment
Method
Ingredients1. Coat the sausages in olive oil and braai over medium coals until charred. Finish off in a pan on the fire with the BBQ sauce and seasoning.
2. Braai the onions until charred. Heat the olive oil and butter in a pan over the fire, add the red wine vinegar and onions and cook slowly for 20 minutes. Season.
3. Serve the sausages on top of the onions and top with the dressing.
