Ingredients

Method
  • 500 g green beans, trimmed
  • 2 onions, coarsely grated
  • 25 g butter
  • 250 g diced bacon
  • 50 ml cake flour
  • 1 t brown sugar
  • 1 t salt
  • white pepper, to taste
  • 1 x 250 g tub crème fraîche
  • 150 ml milk
  • 200 g mature Cheddar, grated
  • 40 g coarse breadcrumbs
  • 1 handful Parmesan, finely grated Parmesan

Method

Ingredients

1 Bring a saucepan of water to the boil on the stovetop and add the beans. Cook until tender, then drain and set aside.

2 Preheat the air-fryer to 180°C and place a saucepan in the air-fryer basket. Place the onions, butter and bacon in the pan and fry until bacon is golden brown and crisp, about 8 minutes.

3 Remove the pan from the air-fryer and stir in the flour, sugar, salt and a pinch of white pepper. Add the crème fraîche and milk and stir until well combined. Add the Cheddar and stir until the cheese has melted. Add the beans and mix well.

4 Mix the breadcrumbs and Parmesan and sprinkle over the bean mixture. Return the pan to the air-fryer and cook until golden brown on top, about 15 minutes. Serve hot.
