Grana Padano palmiers and savoury twists

These two ways with nutty Grana Padano and buttery puff pastry are a must! These recipes are great for using up puff pastry offcuts. Use any cold meats you prefer and adjust the amounts to what you have on hand.

For the palmiers:
- 400 g Woolworths frozen puff pastry, thawed but fridge cold
- 2 T Woolworths ‘nduja paste
- 50 g Grana Padano, finely grated, plus extra to garnish
- 70 g pancetta, sliced For the twists:
- 400 g Woolworths frozen puff pastry, thawed but fridge cold
- 70 g Serrano ham
- 50 g Grana Padano, finely grated, plus extra to garnish
Method
Ingredients
- To make the palmiers, preheat the oven to 200°C. Roll out the puff pastry, spread with the ‘nduja paste, sprinkle with Grana Padano and top with the pancetta. Working from the long sides, roll the pastry inwards from both ends until they meet in the centre, forming a symmetrical double spiral. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake for 18 minutes or until cooked through and lightly golden.
- To make the twists, roll out the puff pastry, top with the Serrano ham and sprinkle with Grana Padano. Cut into strips and twist each strip. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake at 200°C for 15 minutes or until cooked through and lightly golden. Garnish with Grana Padano before serving.
