Meet the burger that's changing the game. The Beyond Burger is a plant-based burger that looks, cooks and satisfies like meat. It has all the juicy, meaty deliciousness of a traditional burger, but comes with the upsides of a plant-based meal. Go crazy with your favourite topping or keep it simple – when plant-based is this good even hardened carnivores will want a bite.

Ingredients

Method
  • 4 ultimate burger rolls, toasted
  • 2 T Woolworths sticky plum baste and dip
  • 2 Beyond Rounds™ plant-based rounds
  • 2 Beyond Burger™ plant-based crumbed patties
  • For jalapeño mayo, blend:

  • 3 T PlantLove™ tangy mayonnaise
  • 1 T fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, chopped
  • For plant-based pesto, blend:

  • 30 g Fresh Italian parsley
  • 30 g Plant Powered™ dairy free hard cheese, grated
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 T lemon juice
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • salt, to taste
  • Toppings:

  • 2 slices Plant Powered™ dairy free cheddar flavoured cheese vegan cheese
  • 1 jalapeño, sliced
  • 90 g Woolworths pickled red onion petals, drained
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, thinly sliced
  • 2 mini cucumbers, thinly sliced
  • 100 g Crunchita® lettuce
  • 2 radishes, thinly sliced
  • ½ pineapple, thinly sliced
  • 2 T Woolworths PEPPADEW Piquanté Pepper Chutney
  • 500 g Woolworths frozen sweet potato chips, air fried

1.  For the BBQ jalapeño and cheese beef burger, cook the Beyond Rounds™ in a pan as per packaging instructions. Once cooked, lower heat and add in plum sauce and coat the Beyond Rounds™.

2. Top with cheese slices after flipping and cover with a lid to help melt the cheese.

3. Assemble on toasted buns with jalapeño mayo, Granny Smith apple slices, radishes, pickled onions, sliced jalapeños and Crunchita® lettuce.

4. For the pineapple chicken burger with peppadew, prepare the crumbed patties as per packaging instructions. Assemble burgers on toasted buns and top with pineapple slices, pesto, chutney and cucumbers.

Cook's note: To make this burger 100% plant-based, use Woolworths white hamburger buns instead of the ultimate burger rolls which contain butter and eggs.
