Ingredients

  • 10 sheets spring roll pastry
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 15 g flour
  • 1 litre sunflower oil, for frying
  • For the filling:
  • 500 g mince
  • 2 T olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1,5 cm ginger, finely grated
  • 2 T garam masala
  • 2 T curry powder
  • 1 T ground cumin
  • 1 T ground coriander
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 T mint, chopped
  • 3 T coriander, chopped

Cooking Instructions

Sauté the chopped onion in a medium pot until softened.

Add the garlic and ginger and ground spices and cook for 2-3 min.

Add the mince and cook for 10 min until cooked through and browed.

Once the filling is cool, place 1 T of filling onto a pastry rectangle and roll as directed below.

Deep fry in hot oil until golden, about 3 to 5 minutes.
