Cheesy smoked pepperoni salami pizza dip
Nothing brings a great party together like a delicious platter centrepiece – we are bringing back the fondue! This cheesy pizza sauce, topped with smoked pepperoni salami, will be the talking point of the snacking corner for every pizza lover. It’s like fondue… but better.
Ingredients
Method- 30 g salted butter
- 30 g cake flour
- 2 cup full-cream milk
- 250 g mozzarella, grated
- 250 g ricotta
- 1 T garlic powder
- sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 x 375 ml jar Woolworths tomato and basil pasta sauce
- 100 g Woolworths smoked pepperoni salami
- 10 g fresh basil, to garnish
- bread or crackers, for serving
Method
Ingredients1. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over a medium heat. Whisk in the flour until smooth, then gradually add the milk, whisking until the mixture thickens. Add the mozzarella and ricotta, stirring until the cheese has melted, then add the garlic powder and seasoning. Remove from the heat.
2. Pour the pasta sauce into an ovenproof dish, using a spoon to spread it. Pour the cheese sauce over the tomato salsa, top with the salami and grill until bubbling and golden brown on top.
3. Garnish with fresh basil and serve with your favourite assortment of breads and crackers.
Cook's note: Serve hot, to ensure the cheese is gooey.
