You may think chocolate-covered strawberries are so last year, but Clem is making them exciting again with these decadent flavour combinations. Think strawberries dipped in caramel chocolate and rolled in shortbread crumbs. Or strawberries in white chocolate and Oreo crumbs? If none of these excites you, try his “strawberries in tuxedos”, or better yet, treat your loved one to all three!

Method

Ingredients

Caramel-shortbread strawberries:

Dip the strawberries into the melted caramel chocolate and allow any excess to drip off, then roll in the crumbs to coat. Place on a dish lined with baking paper and chill until the chocolate is firm.

Cookies-and-cream dipped strawberries

Dip the strawberries into the melted white chocolate and allow any excess to drip off, then roll in the Oreo crumbs to coat. Place on a dish lined with baking paper and chill until the chocolate is firm.

Strawberries in tuxedos

1. Dip the strawberries into the melted white chocolate, coming halfway up the fruit. Place on a dish lined with baking paper and chill until the chocolate is firm.

2. Once set, dip the strawberries at an angle into the dark chocolate on each side. The white part is the shirt and the dark chocolate the suit.
Dip a skewer into the dark chocolate and dot a button to finish the tuxedo. Decorated with a soft-centred pearl.
