Ingredients

Method
  • 1 cup water
  • 60 g caster sugar
  • 1½ cups Woolworths 100 % Freshly Squeezed Blood Orange Juice
  • ½ cup Woolworths 100 % Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
  • 1 lime, juiced

1. Place the water and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Simmer until the sugar has dissolved. Set aside and allow to cool slightly.

2. Pour both orange juices and the lime juice into a bowl and add the cooled sugar-and-water mixture. Stir to combine. Pour into a shallow freezer-proof dish and freeze overnight.

3. The next morning, remove the tray from the freezer and scrape the granita using a fork. Serve in small glasses.

Serving suggestion: Add bubbles, non-alcoholic or alcoholic, of your choice and top with orange slices for a fun summer drink.

Woolworths chooses locally grown blood oranges for maximum flavour. They squeeze the fruit and capture its delicious juice in a bottle – nothing else. There are no added preservatives and it is very high in vitamin C. Due to seasonal variation, the flavour may differ from bottle to bottle.
