Deep-fried egg with rice




You may have had a fried egg, but have you ever had a deep-fried egg? Wayne Chang, a.k.a. @munchin_mash shows you the best way to deep-fry eggs and serves its over rice for a classic combination.

- canola oil, for frying
- 1 extra-large free-range egg
- 150 g cooked rice, for serving
- chilli oil, for serving
- soya sauce, for serving
- spring onions, sliced, to garnish
Method
Ingredients
1. Heat the oil in a wok and crack the egg into the middle. Cook for 1–2 minutes, or to your preference. Use a slotted spoon to splash the hot oil over the egg to speed up the process.
2. Serve with the rice, chilli oil and soya sauce, garnished with spring onion.
