For the syrup:
- 1/2 cup soft brown sugar
- 1 cup strong espresso coffee
- 1 star anise
- 8 fresh figs, peeled
Method
Ingredients
To make the espresso syrup, combine sugar and coffee in a pot and add the star anise.
Boil the coffee and sugar to a thick syrup on medium heat.
Plate the figs into serving bowls and drizzle with hot espresso syrup.
