Ingredients

Method
  • 2 oranges, thickly sliced
  • 1/4 cup marmalade
  • 1/2 cup vino cotto
  • 1 x 150 g wedge Gorgonzola
  • Fresh, crusty bread, for serving

Method

Ingredients

Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper and arrange the sliced oranges on top. Spoon over the marmalade and add a good drizzle of vino cotto.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until slightly softened and sticky. Remove from the heat and top with the Gorgonzola wedge.
Allow the cheese to melt, then serve the dish with slices of crusty bread.

Cook’s note: Vino cotto (literally cooked wine) is an Italian dessert wine that is made by boiling grape must for an extended period before fermentation. It is available at specialty food stores.

TASTE’s take:
A round of ripe Camembert would work equally well in this recipe. Serve as a warm cheese course.
