  • 450 g samp
  • 1 litre water
  • 1 T salt
  • 100 g butter

Ingredients

1. Place the samp and water in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Add more water if you prefer a soupy consistency and a little more salt if you like.

2. Stir in the butter and serve on its own, or alongside vegetables and a meaty stew.
