5 quick and easy meals to make this week

After a long day at work, being in the kitchen for hours on end is the last thing most of us want. These 5 quick and easy meals will cut down your kitchen time from hours to just 15 to 30 minutes.

1. GARLIC-AND-CAPER BUTTER PAN-FRIED HAKE

Easy to cook and perfect for a quick after-work dinner, hake fillets are a midweek must. The garlic-and-caper butter adds a whole lot of flavour with just a handful of ingredients. The dish takes just 15 minutes to cook and is carb-conscious to boot!

2. HOISIN MUSHROOM STIR-FRY

This vegetarian meal has great texture and flavour thanks to ready-made hoisin sauce, plus a few standard aromatics. The addition of wasabi-flavoured seaweed at the end takes it up a notch.

3. CHICKEN SCHNITZEL PICCATA

Woolworths has an amazing range of crumbed chicken schnitzels, which make the ultimate midweek dinner. Try adding a piccata spin with capers (you should have some leftover from the hake!), lemon and Woolies’ ready-made garlic-and-herb butter. The whole meal is ready in just 25 minutes.
