Panna cotta
Panna cotta means 'cooked cream' in Italian, and it is one of Italy's most famous desserts. The basic ingredients are cream, sugar, vanilla, milk and gelatin.
The best panna cotta is 'as wobbly as possible but still holding its shape'. It is made and/or served with berries, chocolate, caramel, nuts, fruit coulis, honey, lemon zest or whatever the cook feels like.
