Ingredients
Method- 1 cup organic rolled oats
- Water
- Milk or cream
- Swirl of cream
- 4 ripe bananas
- 100 g butter
- 2-3 T dark brown sugar
- Nutmeg
- Cinnamon
Method
IngredientsPlace organic rolled oats in a saucepan and just cover with water. Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, adding warm milk or cream as the oats absorb the liquid.
When the oats are tender, remove from the heat and add a swirl of cream. Meanwhile, peel ripe bananas* and halve lengthways. Place butter and dark brown sugar in a large pan over a medium heat.
When melted and caramelised, add the banana and gently coat. Fry until crisp on the outside and serve immediately on top of the oats, with a dusting of nutmeg and cinnamon.
